beth
When Jay comes face to face with his Childhood nightmares, Beth urges him to take a stand. A powerful short focusing on the psychological effects of bullying and the thin line between morality and immorality. One mans self indulgence in his own imagination creates a Fantasy that leads to his self destruction.

Beth was my first attempt at the professional standard of film making. Shot entirely on 35mm using a vintage Cameflex with minimal resources. If not somewhat over ambitious I feel Beth was a great achievement. The film never got the festival exposure it deserved however it did get its Premire at the 64th Cannes Film Festival and had it's UK premiere at the BFI Southbank in London. Beth was one great big experiment a chance to see what could be achieved on limited stock . The film was my final project piece whilst studying a diploma in motion picture at the BFS in Brighton in 2010. Produced by fellow students Charmaine D' Rozario and Charlotte Ryan with sound by Kirstie Howell. The majority of the film was shot by myself with the aid of Davide Pelligrino, Tom Sands and Ramsay S James.
